Korean red ginseng has been cultivated and used for hundred of years in the Orient. In recent years it came into
widespread use in the Korea as an aid to good health. Recent report have pointed out the estrogen-like effect of
red ginseng on vaginal epithelium. The authors also indicated that red ginseng extract competed with estrogen binding
sites in human myometrial cytosol. Greenspan reported the case of a 72-year-old patient with vaginal bleeding
after daily ingestion of 200 mg of Rumanian ginseng for 1 month. We recently examined three patients with unexplained
